Upstate is offering free breast cancer screenings starting today

Upstate University Hospital’s Mobile Mammography Program will offer free breast cancer screenings starting this week and into November to women in Central and Northern New York.
Upstate staff will use their Mammo Van, a vehicle equipped with a 3D digital mammogram system, a private exam room, dressing rooms and a waiting room.
Women who are at least 40 years old, have not had a mammogram in the past year and who are not experiencing any breast concerns (lumps and/or nipple discharge) are eligible for a screening. Women with these symptoms should contact their physician. Medical insurance is not required for the mobile screening.
Upstate recommends people schedule an appointment through its website or by calling 315-464-2588. Times and locations vary.

Oct. 23 at the Town of Geddes Office in Solvay
Oct. 24 at the Cleveland Village Hall
